Open Master Classes and Opera Performances
The most exciting element of this Workshop is that there are two weeks of master classes open to the public and then two weeks of operatic concerts and full-length opera performances.
The auditorium is always jam-packed with an overflow standing in the back and seated on the stairways. Most of the attendees are Classical Music Workshop “groupies”, rushing to buy tickets the minute they go on sale summer after summer.
The foreign students brave the sweltering summer in order to study with the top class vocal teachers and to learn roles in specific operas. One of the students labeled the Workshop an “opera bootcamp”.
This workshop is considered by many to be difficult, but well worth the investment. It is a “one of a kind” school and is considered the most prestigious opera workshop in the world.
It's helping us grow this community and give us much thought to improve the content / prize so that we can give you back.
