There are many versions of Dragostea din Tei right now in many countries. Those songs are covered by singers in their country and some of them just re-mix.

But I just found the best one that can make me smile all day long.

This is Dragostea din Tei version featuring Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra lip-synching the song. The audio at the start of the clip translates to “Thaksin… get out!”, a phrase used by Anti-Thaksin groups.

One of the Anti-Thaksin groups made this video clip and gave it to their friends and the clip became very popular with the internet users all over Thailand and for Thai people living abroad.

In the beginning of the clip has a Thai sentence saying “This clip is a new media experiment and there is a little hope that this clip will reduce the political strife in the country.”

The end of clip states “If you will go to visit me (in jail), please bring me crab fried rice”. This is funny because there is a hint like he might be in jail after the clip becomes popular.
